Photo contest: Impact of Team Europe’s efforts in DRE
The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE), with the support of GET.invest, has launched the ARE Photo Contest: Impact of Team Europe’s Efforts in DRE. The goal is to showcase pieces of evidence of efforts and investments in decentralised renewable energy (DRE) and their positive impact on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 7, 8 and 12 enabled through Team Europe support instruments.
ARE Members are welcome to submit photos taken in Sub-Saharan Africa that depict images according to the following categories:
- Productive use: DRE solutions enabling the creation of income in communities (e.g. powering local businesses).
- Women Empowerment: DRE training and solutions that allow women to learn new skills and be included in the job market.
- Powering Industries: DRE technologies powering industries.
- Manufacturing & Power Components: Production of materials and components included in DRE technologies.
- Green Job Creation: Direct impact on job creation through the development and installation of DRE technologies.
Submission deadline: 30 April 2024
