ARE Member MyJouleBox officially inaugurated Les Soleils de la Garamba, the first MyJouleBox mini-grid in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The project is located in the city of Dungu and is designed to provide round-the-clock electricity access to approximately 80,000 residents.

The initiative was launched by the Garamba National Park and implemented with financial support from the European Union. Through the deployment of a decentralised mini-grid, the project supplies clean, reliable and affordable electricity to households, businesses and productive uses, contributing to improved energy access in the region.
