Masunga

Masunga is a technology company building the infrastructure needed to scale inclusive asset and digital credit across sub-Saharan Africa.

Through PaygOps, our software helps lenders and distributors manage origination, repayments, collections, inventory and after-sales operations, while generating clean, standardised portfolio data. Through Bridgin, we use that data infrastructure to help make receivables more investable by improving transparency, monitoring and structuring readiness for third-party capital.

Our work is especially relevant for the distributed renewable energy sector, where companies often need stronger operational systems and better-quality data to unlock affordable financing and grow sustainably.

Today, Masunga supports more than 80 organisations across around 40 countries, helping them serve over one million end customers. By combining operational software, data standardisation and financing enablement, we aim to reduce friction between energy access companies and capital providers, and help more rural households access productive, reliable and affordable energy solutions that support livelihoods and climate resilience.
