Head of Business Development and Sales



Job description

Our business development team is looking for a full-time (38.5 h/week) expert to continue our mission of a global green energy transition.

About the role

  • You are the main face to the customer and inquires at RENAC.
  • Coordinating and writing of technical and financial proposals.
  • Working on a range of grants, service contracts as well as direct contracting projects.
  • Designing and writing concept notes.
  • Responsible for internal templates and processes relevant to business development.
  • Working closely with the technical departments during the project development stage.
  • Researching and developing new funding and business opportunities.
  • Overseeing the contracting process with clients.
  • Preparing the hand-over to technical departments of successfully developed projects.
  • Representing RENAC at public and in-house events.
  • Leading a small team with one project manager and a working student.

About you

  • Completed degree in communications, business management, or similar.
  • A couple of years’ experience of business development for an international company.
  • Good understanding of the renewable energy and energy efficiency market and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the procurement processes for institutions like GIZ, EU, World Bank, KfW, UN or ISA.
  • Experience in writing and coordinating project proposals (developing concept notes, technical proposals, financial proposals, project plans).
  • Good coordination and management skills.
  • Adherence to deadlines and detail oriented.
  • Professional written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of German and other languages is a definite plus.
  • Residence in Berlin or willingness to move to Berlin.
