Position: EU Proposal Writer

Duties and responsibilities
The profile will report to the Head of Business Development and will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Monitoring of European research and Innovation funding opportunities (Horizon Europe, Life, Prima, Interreg, etc.);
- Regular updating of key BD documents (e.g. roster database, CVs, partners, etc.);
- Identify partners and building consortia;
- Proposal creation, design and writing, from concept note to full proposal, including budget and work packages;
- Scout new opportunities and new workstreams;
- Supporting the R&D activities on primary and secondary data analysis (e.g. market analysis, data entering/cleaning, etc.).
Essential skills and qualifications
- Advanced degree (Msc/MA) in Engineering/Economics/Environmental Studies/Public Policy/International Development;
- At least 5 years of experience in proposal writing for international cooperation agencies, EU funding programs (H2020, Horizon Europe, Life, Interreg, etc.) regarding renewable energy, sustainability and technology innovation;
- Knowledge and understanding of international research context;
- Knowledge and understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis tools;
- Advanced Knowledge of the Office suite;
- Language requirement: Writing and speaking fluency in English and French;
- Strong communications and presentation skills;
- Positive attitude to teamwork and strong motivation to lead high impactful work.
Desirable skills
- Experience in renewable energy sector, knowledge of distributed energy systems and rural electrification for Sub-Saharan African countries is considered an asset;
- Experience with key business development/project design tools (offers, theory of change, logical framework, etc.) is considered an asset;
- Proficiency in performing advanced online research for desk-based data collection;
- Availability to travel for short mission in EU countries.
