The Powering Africa Summit began in 2015, aligning with the Obama Administrations Power Africa initiative. Since then the summit has gone from strength to strength, attracting Ministerial and Governmental participation from countries including Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia.
This is alongside key U.S stakeholders including Power Africa, U.S. Exim Bank, U.S International Development Finance Corporation, M.C.C, The World Bank, IFC, USTDA, institutional investors, private capital investors, and private technology and service providers.
ARE is a supporting partner of the Summit.
