EAIF clinches the Silver Award at Association Excellence Awards
ARE Energy Access Investment Forum (EAIF) has been awarded Silver at the Association Excellence Awards 2025 in the category Best Development of an Existing Association Event.
The Association Excellence Awards recognise the work of associations, trade bodies, professional organisations and chartered institutes, highlighting their efforts to represent members’ interests and advance their sectors. The award for Best Development of an Existing Event honours the most effective and innovative evolution of an established event, assessed on impact, originality and results.
Originally launched in 2014 as a modest seminar in Belgium, the EAIF has grown into the leading global investment event for the distributed renewable energy sector. Organised by the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE), EAIF 2025 marked its 10th anniversary with a comprehensive programme including a high-level conference, a dynamic exhibition, GET.invest matchmaking sessions, site visits and technical workshops.
The last EAIF gathered global investors & decision-makers in Uganda
This milestone edition drew more than 1,000 participants (including 500 in-person delegates) from over 75 countries, setting a new attendance record. EAIF 2025 achieved strong communications reach, generating around 1,000,000 views through email and social media campaigns and securing coverage across 12 regional and local media outlets, including national television and regional newspapers.
Building on this success, EAIF 2026 will expand further with the addition of the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector. The next edition will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 21 to 24 April 2026.
