ARE to send key delegation to Mobile World Congress 2025 in Kigali

The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) is proud to announce that it will send a key delegation to Mobile World Congress (MWC) Kigali 2025 on 21-23 October, the African continent’s largest and most influential connectivity event. Organised by the GSMA, the flagship gathering is set to take place in Kigali, Rwanda, and will bring together thousands of high-level representatives from across the digital ecosystem.

MWC Kigali 2025 will explore critical themes shaping the future of connectivity across the continent, including Connected Continent, the AI Future, Africa’s Digital DNA, and Fintech. The event will convene a powerful mix of stakeholders — from mobile operators, tower and energy companies, to investors, donors, government representatives, and development organisations.

ARE’s participation follows the recent partnership signed with GSMA, aimed at fast-tracking energy access and enhancing telecommunications connectivity in underserved rural communities. This strategic alliance underscores both organisations’ commitment to leveraging clean energy and mobile technologies to close the digital and energy access gaps across Africa.
