ARE on tripling renewables at the 14th IRENA General Assembly
ARE CEO, David Lecoque attended the fourteenth edition of the IRENA General Assembly on 16-18 April 2024 in Abu Dhabi, which gathered decision-makers from over 180 States, multilateral organisations and private actors that delved into the central theme of “Outcome of COP28: Infrastructure, Policies and Skills for Tripling Renewables and Accelerating the Energy Transition”.
He participated in the Youth Forum, spoke in the session ‘Harvesting Synergies: The Water-Food-Energy Nexus for Enhanced NDCs’, joined the Public-Private Dialogue on ‘Building Momentum Towards a 100% Renewable Energy System’ and attended a number of sessions including ‘IRENA’s Operational Workshop For RETO Africa Project’. Engaging with stakeholders in the private sector, he demonstrated ARE’s commitment to support the private sector to deliver sustainable electricity services in emerging markets.
