ARE launches 3 key Circles at the first-ever Industry Action Dialogue & Reception
The inaugural ARE Industry Action Dialogue & Reception successfully brought together 75 participants for a day of collaborative discussions and sector-driven networking on 19 September 2024 in Brussels, Belgium. The event kicked off with a Member lunch, creating a welcoming space for ARE Members to connect and exchange ideas.
Following this, the ARE Circles were officially launched, providing Members with an opportunity to dive into sector-specific challenges and solutions. The discussions were divided into three focused Circles:
Financier Circle: Co-chaired by Ieva Indriunaite (Camco) and Maud Watelet (EDFI ElectriFI), this group saw financier Members gather to explore the transversal topic “how to increase the speed of climate finance deployment?” and discuss the current obstacles and processes in Financier’s investments.
EPC & Developer Circle: With EPC & Developer Members participating, this circle exchanged on the issues faced and potential ways to collaborate, exploring how ARE and its Members can address industry-specific challenges. The session was chaired by Fabien Leterrier (ENGIE Energy Access), with Julia von Franz of ARE serving as Circle Coordinator.
Technology & Manufacturer Circle: Attracting active participation of ARE Members, this circle focused on identifying key obstacles faced by suppliers and manufacturers in their daily operations. Co-chaired by Martin Bednar (ComAp) and Thomas Bonicel (Schneider Electric), the discussions centred on innovative approaches to overcoming industry hurdles. Deepak Mohapatra coordinated the session.
This landmark initiative represents a significant step in enhancing collaboration across the decentralised renewable energy industry, offering a platform for stakeholders to drive progress and innovation.
Following the Circle meetings, the Electrify the Night! Evening Reception kicked off, offering ARE Members and Partners the perfect opportunity to relax, network, and forge connections. The evening unfolded in a convivial atmosphere, with drinks and a selection of hors d’oeuvres served throughout, providing a fitting end to a productive day.
