KORA Power Systems is a climate technology company developing intelligence software for distributed energy optimisation.

Founded in 2025 and headquartered in Antananarivo, Madagascar, KORA addresses a critical inefficiency in the global mini-grid sector: up to 70% of solar generation is curtailed due to inadequate demand management.

Our platform combines real-time mathematical optimisation, dynamic pricing algorithms, and edge computing to maximise clean energy utilisation. At our pilot site in Madagascar, KORA reduced curtailment from 70% to 9% while increasing operator revenue by 198%.

We operate in partnership with Africa GreenTec (Germany) for commercial deployment and UCSD’s DERConnect laboratory for hardware integration research. Our technology is hardware-agnostic, integrating with any inverter, battery, or metering system.
