NOW GmbH

A climate-neutral society is the goal of NOW GmbH. Innovative technologies and concepts are the way to achieve this. The climate targets set by the German government are the guiding principle.

NOW GmbH works on behalf of the German government across programmes and technologies. It promotes and translates expertise at the interface between politics, industry and research as the federal government’s programme company for the future of emission-free technologies in an integrated energy system.

Most of NOW GmbH’s contracts involve the implementation and coordination of funding programmes. In addition, we also support strategic stakeholder processes on behalf of our clients, shape international cooperation and are committed to promoting the acceptance of alternative technologies in society.

In addition to a broad portfolio of knowledge in the field of climate-neutral mobility, NOW GmbH has a deep knowledge base in relation to hydrogen and fuel cell technology (H2/FC). With its network of stakeholders in business, politics and science, NOW is an expert in market preparation and activation and the central point of contact in Germany.

NOW’s task portfolio has vastly expanded since its establishment in 2008, largely due to the growing societal and political emphasis on clean, efficient mobility powered by renewable energy. In terms of technology, NOW’s tasks today include the areas of hydrogen, fuel cells, batteries and liquid gas, both in terms of drives and fuels, as well as the infrastructure side.
