ARE’s Member-exclusive dialogue brings together the renewable energy sector through three dynamic working groups, or “Circles”, each focused on a specific aspect of the industry. Launched in 2024, the Circles provide ARE Members with the opportunity to participate in closed-door discussions, collaborate with key stakeholders, share insights, and drive solutions in distributed renewable electrification.

Each Circle focuses on a distinct theme:

Financier Circle

A Circle of renewable energy investors collaborating to explore and catalyse investments in renewable electrification, with a focus on DRE in sub-Saharan Africa.

Open to private and public investors and financiers.

Co-chaired by Lynne Wesonga (Decla Capital) and Hélène Demaegdt (Gaia Impact), with Ines van Oldeneel (ARE) serving as Circle Coordinator.

EPC & Developer Circle

A Circle of renewable energy developers and EPC contractors collaborating to advance DRE solutions.

Open to EPCs and developers.

Chaired by Raphael Marchandise (ABC Contracting) and Guillaume Rotsard (EEA), with Julia von Franz (ARE) serving as Circle Coordinator.

Technology & Manufacturer Circle

A Circle of technology providers and manufacturers collaborating to tackle common challenges, share insights, and foster partnerships to accelerate renewable electrification globally.

Open to technology providers and manufacturers.

Co-chaired by Martin Bednar (ComAp) and Thomas Bonicel (Schneider Electric), with Deepak Mohapatra (ARE) serving as Circle Coordinator.
