Technical Support Representative – Solar Energy

Job description

About the role

  • Providing email and telephone support for customer routine solar inquiries and problems.
  • Responsible to support Sales Application Engineers and/or the sales process in the design of system installation parameters for routine configuration and installation of Fronius USA, LLC products to clients and potential clients.
  • Evaluate client needs for upgrades or upsells of current or new installations.
  • Providing application advice for Fronius team members, end customers, distributors, and dealers.
  • Assist Sales Application Engineers to support customers with system design and service calls.
  • Providing technical support for the introduction of products, systems, processes onto the market.
  • Forward feedback about market, competition, product to TSI (Technical Support International).
  • Participating in trade shows and providing technical support at regional and national events.

About you

  • Associate Degree/Technical Certification from an accredited college or university.
  • Renewable Energy or (EET) Electrical Engineering Technology Program preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in the field.
  • Education, Training and Experience in the Photovoltaic Industry and Technology.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Codes.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify, make recommendations and solve customer issues via telephone.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Authorised to work in the U.S. and possess a valid motor vehicle operator license.
  • Travel may be involved.
