Job description

About the role

Support for project coordination:

  • Contribute to coordination with the project’s stakeholders: the ADA team, the Beninese stakeholders supported (ANSSFD, FNM, FNDA, SP-SNIF) and external service providers;
  • Prepare and organise the project’s ADA monitoring committees;
  • Participate in the meetings provided for by the project monitoring system.

Project management:

  • Contribute to the annual planning and budgeting of the project, in consultation with the stakeholders and under the supervision of the ADA Programme Officer;
  • Act as an interface between the external experts and the project stakeholders;
  • Monitor the progress of project activities and the activities of the external experts, and suggest adjustments where necessary;
  • Carry out certain technical assistance activities directly in collaboration with partner institutions;
  • Ensuring that deliverables (internal and external) are produced within the set deadlines;
  • Ensure quality control of services and deliverables provided by external experts involved in the project;
  • Contribute to the procurement of external service providers in close collaboration with the ADA Programme Officer based in Benin: drafting of ToRs, identification of experts, drafting of contracts, etc.

Project monitoring:

  • Monitor performance indicators;
  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic technical and financial progress reports on project activities (monthly, quarterly and annual reports) in accordance with ADA’s and LuxDev’s internal procedures;
  • Contribute to the budget monitoring of the project;
  • Participate in ADA monitoring missions;
  • Contribute to knowledge management activities (capitalisation of lessons learned, project-related communication, etc.);
  • Maintain the project document base (deliverables, reports, contracts, etc.).

About you

  • At least 10 years’ relevant professional experience in inclusive finance, banking or the financial sector, including 5 years in project management;
  • University degree (Bac+5) in business management, finance or economics. A background in sustainable development or equivalent would be an asset;
  • Experience in West Africa, knowledge of the Benin context would be an asset;
  • Proven skills in project management and implementation;
  • Strong organisational and strategic planning skills to analyse, prioritise and take initiatives to implement activities within set deadlines;
  • Excellent writing, organisational and summarising skills;
  • Autonomy, adaptability and initiative;
  • Collaborative skills and team spirit in a multi-partner environment;
  • Good communication and diplomatic skills;
  • Fluency in French;
  • Good command of IT tools.
