As the Communications Specialist, you will lead the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies. Your responsibilities include crafting engaging content, nurturing media relationships, and elevating the brand image of the company or projects. About the role

  • Lead the development of a brand & communications strategy engaging top-level management in the process
  • Implement the strategy by ensuring consistency in messaging and brand voice across all communication channels.
  • Create content for various platforms including press releases/announcements on social media channels and the company website.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s social media presence including engagement.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive database of texts, photos, audios, videos, testimonials etc. ensuring it is organised, up-to-date and accessible.
  • Assist in the ad-hoc creation of internal and external communication to keep employees, clients, and other stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Ensure consistency with brand & communications strategy
  • Manage media relationships to enhance the company’s public image.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases and other media communications.
  • Organise and manage events, including press conferences, corporate events, stakeholder visits and community outreach initiatives.
  • Assist in crisis communication planning and execution.
  • Analyse the results of communication efforts and measure the effectiveness of strategies.
  • Make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a communications role.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
  • Experience with content management systems and digital marketing tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organisational and event planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
