Commercial/Sales Manager – West Africa

Job description

We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our team and lead in region activities. The appointed Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand our customer base. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in technical sales, with a proven track record of delivering results in the renewable energy sector. You will be a key player in driving sales growth and ensuring customer satisfaction for the company.

About the role

  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with Ryse Energy’s business objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, including governmental, commercial and industrial clients
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both domestic and international markets
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline to meet revenue targets
  • Provide product and technical expertise to customers and develop custom solutions to meet their renewable energy needs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless sales process from initial inquiry to installation and commissioning
  • Provide regular sales forecasting and reporting to senior management
  • Attend industry conferences and trade shows to represent Ryse Energy and promote our products and services
  • Identify and manage sales risks facing the company
  • Manage and develop the sales team to ensure high-quality customer service and sales support is provided to the business
  • Recommend in regional resources for finance, administration and technical service provision in a planned structure

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales roles in the renewable energy sector
  • A working language competency in French would be advantageous
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies and building sales pipelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Mentor employees to help them achieve individual & team objectives
