I4E: Digitalisation & Optimisation
Digital technologies have radically transformed society over the past decades. With a dramatic increase in the number of connected devices, data stemming from phones, computers and appliances, distributed renewable energy (DRE) sources also grow exponentially. The way electricity is produced, distributed and consumed in emerging markets and rural areas is evolving.
Digital technologies are now an integral part of sustainable DRE business models with applications ranging from demand mapping over the optimisation of the integration of renewables in electricity systems and improvements in the reliability of grids to consumer payment models. In emerging markets, new high-quality and modular technologies, remote monitoring, control software and systems, smart meters, AI, as well as platforms for real-time data collection, analysis and visualisation support sustainable energy stakeholders in providing affordable and clean energy access for all.
As the demand for clean and renewable energy sources grows, the ARE focuses on fostering and promoting innovation and efficiency of its members. In this regard, ARE is organising the upcoming edition of the Innovation for Electrification (I4E) showcase webinar series on the topic of ‘Digitalisation & Optimisation‘.
ARE members will showcase their products and services enabling the audience to learn more and engage actively.
More information on the programme will follow shortly.
