The event will focus on the general conditions and current trends in hydropower, as well as economic efficiency and ecological aspects. This is Europe’s meeting point for hydropower and will again offer a unique platform for presentations, knowledge exchange, and sharing as well the opportunity to create new contacts. The RENEXPO® INTERHYDRO addresses those active in the hydropower, from trade and industry, authorities and municipalities, politics and science, as well as universities and academic institutions from all over Europe. The fact that the Czech Republic is a partner country and Africa is a partner continent as well as the addition of the 1st Eastern European Hydropower Forum demonstrates the further internationalization of the event. The European Hydropower Association Meeting is also a very important event for the Congress Advisory Board (which is made up of international members), and it will also take place this year.
The 1st Africa Small Hydropower Forum on November 29th in the morning, organised together with EREF, the European Renewable Energies Foundation, aims to create opportunities for partnership and project development by bringing together leading project developers and key financing institutions. The hydropower workshop will discuss, analyse and map solutions to the challenges to financing small and medium hydropower plants in Africa. It aims to create opportunities for partnership and project development by bringing together leading project developers and key financing institutions. Selected case studies will be presented, and a panel of top experts will elucidate and discuss key issues facing the sector.
The 1st Africa Small Hydropower Match-Making Event on November 29th in the afternoon offers the possibility for European and African conference participants to find new business partners, exchange information and experience on hydropower projects in Africa and meet European and African experts on legal, financial and technical issues on hydropower development in Africa.
