ALER – Lusophone Renewable Energy Association, with the support from the Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme (RECP), will organise a high-level international conference in Mozambique on October 25 and 26. The objective of the conference is to bring together European and African Renewable Energy businesses, developers and policy makers.
The conference will focus on the contribution of renewable energy technologies for the electrification of Mozambique, in line with its National Electrification Strategy under preparation to achieve universal access by 2030.
ALER is expecting up to 250 participants at the conference, from Mozambique institutions, private sector, financiers, multilateral and bilateral institutions engaging in renewable energy support programmes, NGOs and academic institutions. Therefore, it will offer the chance to meet key stakeholders, have access to first-hand information and find business partners.
Some of the conference highlights include:
A roundtable with high level representatives of the main Mozambican institutions operating in the energy sector;
A matchmaking session, where participants will be able to schedule B2B, B2F or B2G meetings in advance with potential business partners, financiers or representatives of Mozambican institutions;
Presentation of the second edition of ALER’s “Renewables in Mozambique – National Status Report” accompanied by a mapping exercise of all existing initiatives of donor support programs;
Presentation of the Portuguese version of the RECP Mini-grid Policy Toolkit, including mini-grids case studies in African Portuguese-speaking countries;
Cocktail to celebrate the launch of the new Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER), where participants will have the opportunity to network while learning about AMER’s objectives and planned activities.
Participation is free of charge but limited to a maximum of 250 participants, and registration is required. Register Now to secure your seat!
ARE is a supporting organisation of the conference.
