Renewable Energy for Sustainable Growth Matchmaking Conference & Exhibition

This is an international event dedicated to advancing renewable energy for rural electrification and agricultural development in Eastern Africa region in general and Rwanda in particular. The conference, exhibition, and matchmaking events bring hundreds of policy-makers, investors, experts, and technology manufacturers to Rwanda to source cutting-edge technologies, innovative financing solutions and strategic partnerships for sustainable growth.

This event is co-organised by the European Renewable Energies Federation (EREF), the federation of national renewable energy associations from EU Member States, representing all renewable energy sectors. 

The Conference Programme at a Glance: 

Day 1: National strategies and private sector innovations beyond the grid

• National priorities and the associated business opportunities for the private sector. 
• Innovations driving change in Rwanda's SHS and mini-grids sector.
• Emerging opportunities and business models for renewable energy applications for commercial & industrial users, agri-businesses and SMEs.

Day 2: Opportunities for national and international project financing for small hydro power projects

• International financing institutions present solutions to challenges encountered from project idea to financial close for small hydro power projects. Invitees include: GIZ EnDev Rwanda, RECP Finance Catalyst, the European Electrification Financing Initiative (ElectriFi), the Renewable Energy Performance Platform (REPP) and the Energy and Environment Partnership (EEP).
