Solar energy is the energy of the present and future. Manufacturing is at its peak and advanced countries are already actively taking advantage of the trend. With exponential growth of electric cars, solar street lights, solar homes, micro and mini grids that run entirely on solar energy, dependence on fossil fuel is becoming a thing of the past. Solar energy is undoubtedly a key energy source to meet the rapidly growing energy demand in Africa that cannot be met by traditional sources alone. A strong potential of the solar energy provides us with an opportunity to develop renewable energy projects that will boost the African energy/electricity supply, mitigate the damaging effects of fossil fuel and generate compelling returns for the investors.

The African Solar Energy Forum 2019 will address various important topics, presenting all attendees with an extensive overview of emerging issues and trends of solar technology in Africa. The conference will allow native government officials, technicians, engineers, solar energy experts, entrepreneurs and business developers to network and exchange knowledge with representatives from leading international solar companies and foreign government agencies. This opportunity will stimulate and strengthen direct and indirect cooperation within the international technical and commercial communities, which is a prerequisite for much needed support of the development of sustainable solar energy industries in Africa.
