SokoFresh is a company based in Kenya that provides solar-powered cold storage access to smallholder farmers and aggregators on an 'As A Service' model. We exist to provide climate-smart innovations to smallholder farmers with an ambition of reducing post-harvest food loss and unlocking more incomes.

We are working with smallholder farmers who are in the mango, avocado and French beans value chains in Kenya. Our service enables better reduce aggregation at the first mile and increases the shelflife of produce from a few days to over two weeks. The increase in shelf life unlocks the opportunity to aggregate higher volumes and this appeals to buyers who want to buy high volumes of produce from a single location.
