ARE Member AMMP Technologies offers free remote monitoring services to select mini-grid developers
Amsterdam, 18 February 2020 — ARE Member AMMP Technologies announced its “AMMPower” initiative for mini-grid developers in Sub-Saharan Africa. In June 2019, AMMP Technologies was awarded development contribution by Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank – FMO, as part of Finture Solutions 2019, which the company won. AMMP would like to use this contribution to reduce barriers for mini-grid developers by enabling access to cutting-edge monitoring solutions.

Supporting AMMP through our Finture Solutions Programme helps to improve access to clean and affordable energy and consequently to reduce inequalities which is in line with the FMO strategy. Through AMMPower, AMMP will provide free access to the ‘Essentials’ tier of its remote monitoring service, to a limited number of mini-grid developers. This initiative will allow mini-grid developers to monitor up to 10 systems to gain critical insights into their energy monitoring systems and reduce O&M costs. Developers that operate two or more sites are eligible to apply for AMMPower by completing the short survey.
