Join us as a Photovoltaic Commissioning and O&M Manager Europe and be part of an exciting, challenging and dynamic work environment to proactively support the definition and implementation of the expansion strategy of the Project Business Unit through the origination, development and expansion of the PV Project opportunities, also including the establishment of global partnership, contacts and networking with developers, equity partners, off-takers and final consumers in the European market.

The EU Commissioning and O&M Manager takes care of all the tasks and activities associated with solar farms during commissioning and operational phase. The holder of this role is also responsible for quality of construction, operational reporting, ensuring compliance with the regulatory and contractual requirements and managing the relationships with key partners and providers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare commissioning plan together with contractors and pull together the full set of supporting documentation required
  • Identify and manage qualified third party consultants to perform necessary tests
  • Communicate plan with Client and gain their approval for the approach to Commissioning
  • Provide consultation, advice and guidelines to site commissioning team when and where it is necessary
  • Provide feedback compliance Ensure installations meet the correct quality, technical specifications and built to the agreed design
  • Assist during commissioning and PAC process
  • Ensure the company complies with all provisions of the O&M contracts
  • Preparation of reports, analysis of margins and asset returns, compilation and review of contractual documentation related to financial, fiscal and O&M obligations of projects
  • Monitor, on a daily basis, any alarms from the sites and ensure an appropriate response from the O&M providers
  • Follow up with the monitoring provider for the preparation of automated alarms and reports
  • Initiate and follow up on payments to suppliers and invoices to clients
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the Owner and disseminate to internal staff
  • Perform performance analysis and optimisation
  • Prepare and submit monthly production statements (as required) to the energy regulation agency and keep all reporting up to date
  • Track revenue from energy sales; verify meter data and rate tariffs are correct, and that payments are received and properly accounted for
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and updates to project financial models
  • Respond to queries about solar farms from auditors and/or internal staff
  • Conduct analysis and prepare various ad-hoc reports on the portfolio
  • Keep documentation updated and properly stored
  • Perform on-site inspections to evaluate the performance of the O&M provider (as required)
  • Lead cross functional lessons learned process

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in PV (Knowledge of IT tools for plant design & energy performance simulations)
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organisational skills
  • Strong aptitude to learn complex concepts (tax rules, energy policy, financial structures, corporate structures, business models, etc.)
  • Ability to develop and implement report templates, analytical tools and other O&M specific tools
  • Ability to read and understand complex contracts about power plant management, operation and maintenance
  • Proficient at extracting and summarising large amounts of data, analysing and presenting information
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work independently, and work across many different functions including engineering, procurement, finance, accounting & legal
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High level of proficiency with Excel & MS Office suite products
  • Valid driving licence
