Qinous develops and markets standardized all-in-one energy storage system for the integration of renewable energies in isolated mini-grids and for various on-grid applications. Our systems are based on high-quality lithium ion or aqueous hybrid ion batteries and are available in the mid-power range (30kW up to 1MW+). Our solution includes the battery system, grid-forming battery inverter, housing with temperature control and a mini-grid management system with remote access and an intuitive human-machine interface. Depending on size our system come in a compact housing, 20ft or 40ft ISO container.
In February 2016 Qinous had installed or had under construction a total of nearly 7MWh within 12 projects in 5 countries. Our references include hospitals, a fast-charging system, a village grid, a remote settlement and system for the increase of self-consumption.
Qinous was founded in 2013 by Steffen Heinrich, Dr. George Hanna and Busso v. Bismarck and is based in Berlin, Germany.
Contribute to the further development and the operation of our web application used to monitor, control, configure and analyse a micro-grid control system.
Develop, test and ship software using Typescript, React/Redux, version control, unit tests and continuous integration.
As the application runs offline on an embedded PLC that doesn’t offer a lot in terms of backend services, you will solve engineering problems from the ground up without relying on ready made services.
Support in the design of the system architecture.
As an early member of our team, you will also contribute to the UI/UX design.
You provide input and ideas for new technologies, methods and improvements proactively.
You’ll be accompanied by a senior developer, but will take over more and more responsibilities over time.
5+ years of experience as a Software Developer for web applications, ideally using technologies such as TypeScript, React and Redux.
Experienced in building and designing web-applications, ideally for monitoring industrial or electromechanical processes.
Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS and interest in web standards.
Familiarity with dynamic and static type systems, OOP and functional programming.
You have knowledge of product development and an feel for user experience and interface.
You have good judgement when it comes to software dependencies and all execution requirements.
Great communication skills and fluency in English and preferably German.
Bachelor or Master studies in Informatics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering or similar is considered a large plus.
You become a vital part of a growing team working in a future market.
The chance to contribute to changing an industry by applying innovative technology in a highly relevant and meaningful field.
A chance to be highly involved in the creation and development of our engineering processes.
Short decision-making processes and room for initiative.
Competitive compensation and plenty of room for personal growth.
An inclusive atmosphere and the chance to work within a team of experts.
