DRE Recovery Campaign

Under its new DRE Recovery Campaign: “Shifting towards a sustainable electricity sector to power greener, equitable economies”, ARE, supported by GET.invest, received case studies, videos and photos from decentralised renewable energy (DRE) companies. We thank all contributors for their contributions. 

In this year of hope and major political focus on green recovery, the time is now for international funding partners, politicians, government officials, investors and other relevant stakeholders around the world to integrate DRE as a core element of their green recovery plans, allocating the full range of financial solutions at hand and helping build an enabling environment to facilitate the massive deployment of DRE solutions on the ground.

In view of the above and as a follow up to the successful COVID-19 Campaign in 2020, ARE and GET.invest – a programme supported by the European Union, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Austria, that promotes investments in renewable energy – have joined forces to support international funding partners, politicians, government officials, investors and other relevant stakeholders around the world shape their COVID-19 green recovery initiatives.

Winners of the ARE Photo Contest Revealed

ARE announced the winners of the ARE Photo Contest: Sustainable Decentralised Electricity to Power a Green and Equitable Recovery. The competing photos were taken in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean and the Asia Pacific that depict images according to the categories of social development, economic development. innovation, community impact, and building local resources.
