The Foundation Network would like to set up small, local energy suppliers in developing countries by means of a number of its own pilot projects. The purpose of the associated business models is to show, among other things, practical funding options, sustainable methods of plant operation, the targeted involvement of the population or local training systems. If the pilot projects prove successful and are able to be reproduced in a further step, they may lay important foundations for sustainable electrification in developing countries.
The Foundation Network is realizing the foundation's aim in respect of the "electrification of remote regions" over several project phases.
